A leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Imala/Idi Emi Abeokuta North Local Government Area of Ogun State Mr Akande Joseph Alabi has used his birthday celebration to call for stronger unity and grassroots mobilisation in support of the party’s 2027 governorship candidate, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi.
The APC leader expressed appreciation to God for another year and thanked party members and supporters for their goodwill.
He said the occasion was not only about celebrating his birthday but also about reaffirming his commitment to the progress of the party and Ogun State.
According to him, the APC must remain united and focused as the 2027 election approaches, stressing that the emergence of Yayi as the party’s governorship candidate provides an opportunity for members to work together toward victory.
“This is a time for us to put the interest of our party and Ogun State above personal interests. We must unite and rally behind Senator Olamilekan Adeola Yayi,” he said.
The celebrant urged APC members across Abeokuta North to intensify grassroots mobilisation, particularly through wards, streets and communities.
Alabi said the party’s strength would depend largely on its ability to maintain regular contact with the people and communicate its programmes and vision effectively.
He described Yayi as a candidate with considerable political experience, noting that recent support from different groups and stakeholders across Ogun State showed growing interest in his 2027 ambition.
