Party faithful turned out in large numbers for the meeting, which brought together leaders, stakeholders, and grassroots supporters from across the ward. The gathering served as a platform to review recent party activities and chart a course for future political engagements.
Speaking during the meeting, a respected party leader in Abeokuta North Local Government, Hon. Ibikunle Bayowa, expressed appreciation to members for their impressive turnout and commitment during the recent APC primary election.
Bayowa commended party members for their loyalty and dedication to the APC, noting that their active participation contributed significantly to the successful conduct of the party’s primary exercise.
“We want to sincerely appreciate all our party faithful for coming out in large numbers during the APC primary election. Your commitment and support have continued to strengthen our party at the grassroots,” he said.
The APC leader further urged members to intensify efforts at mobilizing eligible voters across the ward, stressing the importance of obtaining Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) ahead of the forthcoming general elections.
According to him, “Every member must become an ambassador of the party by encouraging family members, friends, and neighbours who have not collected or registered for their PVCs to do so. We must also ensure that all APC candidates receive massive support during the general elections.”
Another leader, Prince Olusola Olabode, also addressed the gathering, emphasizing the need for unity, cooperation, and sustained grassroots engagement among party members. He noted that the APC remains stronger when members work together toward a common goal.
Similarly, Prince Stephen Tomiwa called on party faithful to remain committed to the ideals of the APC and continue supporting initiatives that would advance the development of Abeokuta North Local Government and Ogun State as a whole.
Also speaking, Mr. Olukunle Abiola assured residents that the long-awaited rehabilitation of the ward’s dilapidated roads would soon become a reality through the intervention of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola (Yayi). He disclosed that the road project had already been captured in the 2026 budget.
“Our dilapidated road will be constructed by Senator Yayi. He has already included the project in the 2026 budget. I want to urge all party members and residents to support him and canvass for votes. Let us vote for Senator Yayi and all APC candidates in the coming elections so that more developmental projects can be attracted to our community,” Abiola stated.
Among notable leaders present at the meeting were Hon. Bayowa Ibikunle, Akintade Samson, Dasofunjo Abiodun, Alhaji Wahab Akindele, Prince Stephen Tomiwa, Prince Olabode Olusola, Olukunle Abiola, Hon. Gbenga Ilebiyi, Hon. Mukaila Fagbenro ,and the Ward Chairman, M. O. Modebade Odebo.
The meeting ended with renewed commitment by members to work tirelessly for the success of the APC in future electoral contests.
