A massive turnout was recorded in ward 14 Imala Abeokuta North Local Government Area of Ogun State, as members and supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) trooped out in large numbers to affirm their support for the party’s governorship consensus candidate, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, during the APC governorship primary exercise.
The impressive mobilisation was coordinated by the Ward 14 Councillor in Abeokuta North Local Government, Hon. Victor Olusola, who led party faithful and residents in demonstrating their commitment to the aspiration of Senator Adeola ahead of the 2027 governorship election in Ogun State.
Party members, youths, women, and community leaders were seen gathering peacefully across the ward, expressing confidence in the leadership qualities and developmental vision of Senator Yayi for the state.
Speaking during the exercise, Hon. Victor Olusola described the large turnout as a clear indication of the overwhelming acceptance and popularity of the APC consensus candidate among grassroots members in Abeokuta North.
According to him, the people of Imala and Ward 14 are united in their support for Senator Adeola because of his track record of performance, empowerment programmes, and commitment to the growth and development of Ogun State.
He added that the peaceful conduct and enthusiasm displayed by party members further reflected the strength and unity of the APC in the area ahead of the forthcoming general election.
The primary exercise was conducted peacefully, with party supporters chanting solidarity songs and reaffirming their loyalty to the APC and the candidacy of Senator Yayi.
