2027: Zee 1 for Yayi Founder Visits Towulade of Akinale, Seeks Support for Yayi

The founder of Zee 1 for Yayi, Ambassador Azeez Ayomikun Ibrahim, has visited the Towulade of Owu-Akinale, Oba Oluseyi Adediran, to seek the monarch’s support for the 2027 governorship ambition of Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi.

Ibrahim, who led members of the group on Wednesday said the engagement was part of efforts to mobilise traditional institutions and grassroots stakeholders ahead of the 2027 elections.

He described Senator Yayi as a politician who, according to him, had demonstrated commitment to the development of Ogun State through various infrastructural and empowerment initiatives.

The Zee 1 for Yayi founder said the senator’s interventions had touched different parts of the state, stressing that his contributions to infrastructure and other sectors had made him deserving of the support of the people.
He urged Oba Adediran to lend his voice to the campaign and help educate the people of Owu Akinale on the programmes and political vision of Senator Yayi.

According to him, traditional rulers remain influential in shaping public opinion and mobilising their communities, making their support important to the success of any political agenda.

Ibrahim appealed to the monarch to help “preach the gospel” of Yayi to the people of Owu Akinale, while assuring that the group would continue to engage communities across Ogun State.
Responding, the Towulade of Akinale, Oba Oluseyi Adediran, disclosed that he had previously been a strong supporter of Senator Yayi and remained satisfied with his decision to support him.

“I used to be his strong supporter of Yayi and I didn’t regret it. I’m supporting him because he has been doing great things in the state. Yayi is an achiever,” the monarch said.

Oba Adediran said his support for Yayi was informed by what he described as the senator’s visible contributions to the development of Ogun State, adding that his assessment was based on the projects and initiatives he had observed.

The monarch noted that political support should be anchored on the performance, programmes and contributions of public office seekers, rather than mere political affiliations.

He also urged politicians and their supporters to engage the people peacefully and responsibly as political activities ahead of the 2027 elections intensify.

The Towulade further emphasised the importance of traditional rulers in promoting peace, unity and responsible political participation within their communities.

He called on political actors to ensure that their campaigns were issue-based and focused on policies and programmes capable of improving the welfare and living conditions of the people.
