The Ogun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress has appointed a Senior Agricultural Economist with the World Bank and former governorship aspirant of the party, Dr. Adetunji Oredipe, as one of the patrons of its newly constituted Campaign Council ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Oredipe, who previously sought the APC governorship ticket in Ogun State, was named among the patrons as the ruling party begins preparations and mobilisation for the forthcoming elections.
His appointment is coming as the party continues to assemble experienced politicians, professionals and stakeholders into various committees of its campaign structure.
The newly constituted Campaign Council is expected to coordinate the party’s campaign activities, mobilisation and communication across the state, while working with the party’s leadership and candidates ahead of the elections.
Oredipe’s inclusion in the council brings to the campaign structure his experience in agricultural economics and public policy, as well as his previous involvement in Ogun State politics.
The appointment also reflects the APC’s effort to bring together members and stakeholders with diverse professional and political backgrounds as it prepares for the 2027 electoral contest.
