The delegation was led by Hon. Muhammad Umar, former Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to former Governor Adegboyega Oyetola on Non-Indigene .
The visit was was to appreciate the chairman for the opportunity given to two members of the Hausa community—Hon. Ibrahim Muhammad and Hon. Mrs. Isa Fatimat—who were recently appointed as Executive Assistants (EAs) to the chairman.
Speaking during the visit, Hon. Muhammad Umar commended Hon. Abolade Nureni Adekunle for his friendliness and openness to the Hausa community, describing the appointments as historic.
According to him, this is the first time in the history of Orolu Local Government that members of the Hausa community have been considered for such appointments.
He further assured the chairman of the community’s unwavering support and full commitment to the All Progressives Congress (APC), particularly ahead of the forthcoming governorship election scheduled for August 8, 2026.
In his response, the Executive Chairman, Hon. Abolade Nureni Adekunle, reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to inclusiveness and pledged continued support for the Hausa community, whom he described as a strong pillar of the APC in Orolu Local Government.
He encouraged members of the community to feel free to approach him whenever they need support, stressing that his door remains open at all times.
Similarly, the Leader of the House, Hon. Azeez Moshood, highlighted the importance of the Hausa community to the success of the APC in the local government.
He assured them that the current administration would remain friendly and supportive, while urging them to continue to stand firmly with the APC and the government of Hon. Abolade Nureni Adekunle.
