Gbadegeshin of Iporoland Urges Govt. To Consult Traditional Institution For Community Development


The newly installed Gbadegeshin of Iporo land and Ekerin of Kemta Oloko in Egbaland, Chief Sunday Adeoye Oyebefun, has urged federal and state government to always consult traditional institutions for community development.

Oyebefun disclosed this on Saturday during his 50th birthday anniversary alongside his coronoation ceremony as Ekerin Kemta Oloko over the weekend.

He emphasized the critical role traditional institutions play in grassroots development, urging the government to work more closely with community leaders.

“The government should always consult traditional institutions for the development of our communities because we are the closest to the people. We know what the people want,” he added.

Chief Adeoye expressed deep gratitude for the honour bestowed upon him and pledged his unwavering commitment to the development and peace of his community.

The event had in attendance traditional rulers, community leaders, government officials, and well-wishers from far and near who came to honour Chief Oyebefun.
