As Muslims across the world celebrate Eid-el-Kabir, Ogun Assembly Member representing Abeokuta North State Constituency, Dr. Babatunde Tella,has extended warm felicitations to the Muslim faithful in Ogun State and beyond.
In a goodwill message issued on Friday, Tella congratulated the Islamic community for witnessing yet another Eid-el-Kabir, a festival he described as a time for reflection, sacrifice, and renewed commitment to the values of faith, love, and obedience to God.
Hon. Tella urged Muslims to emulate the virtues of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) who exemplified unwavering faith and obedience to God, noting that these values are vital in building a peaceful and progressive society.
“As we mark this sacred celebration, let us remember the essence of Eid-el-Kabir, which teaches selflessness, piety, and unity. I call on all citizens, regardless of religious background, to imbibe the spirit of tolerance and peaceful coexistence,” he said.
The lawmaker emphasized the need for religious harmony and urged leaders at all levels to prioritize policies that promote inclusivity, social justice, and mutual respect among the diverse peoples of Ogun State and Nigeria at large.
While praying for a peaceful and joyous celebration, Tella also reaffirmed his commitment to serving his constituents with transparency, equity, and dedication, pledging continued support for community development initiatives.
He encouraged Muslims to share love with the less privileged and to see the celebration as an opportunity to strengthen bonds of unity and understanding among all Nigerians.
