Ogun Hausa Community Council of Chiefs Condemns Zamfara Mahmood's Impersonation, Extortion, Frivolous Petitions against Members

The Ogun State Hausa Community Council of Chiefs, the apex body overseeing the affairs of the Hausa leadership in the four major regions of the state—Egba, Remo, Ijebu, and Yewa devision of Ogun State hereby notifies the general public that Mahmood Alhassan Zamfara has been barred from falsely parading himself as the Sardauna of Ogun State.

The council, which is the constituted authority responsible for the conferment of traditional titles within the Hausa community in Ogun State, has not recognized or bestowed any title upon him as he did not possess any responsible character to deserve any kind of title.

 His self-acclaimed status is an act of impersonation, and as such, he has been reported to the relevant security agencies, who are currently investigating his activities.

Furthermore, Mahmood Alhassan Zamfara has been identified as a serial petitioner, known for filing frivolous and baseless petitions against various members of the Hausa/Fulani community in Ogun State as an avenue to extort them.

As such, we are calling on all security agencies, government agencies, associations, and other related stakeholders not to transact with him as a leader or representative of the Hausa/Fulani Community in any kind.

Henceforth, if at any point in time, Zamfara petitions anyone, the person should report to the council or DSS for proper investigation.
