On Monday, February 3rd, 2025, in the evening hours, the suspect, identified as Ramoni Abiodun Segun, brought his girlfriend, Adijat, to his residence but a distress call received this morning at 9:00am from an anonymous source, alerted that the woman was discovered unresponsive and subsequently dead in Segun's room.
Consequently, Amotekun operatives promptly arrived at the scene, leading to the swift apprehension of the suspect for questioning. In his statement, Segun claimed that Adijat had been experiencing stomach pain throughout the night, which he believed resulted in her unfortunate death.
While the local community is left in shock and mourning over the tragic event, the suspect has since been transferred to the Ijebu Igbo police division for further investigation, and officials are urging anyone with further information regarding the incident to come forward.
