The beneficiaries are pupils of Emmanuel Anglican Primary Schools 1 and 2, Italupe, Ijebu-Ode, under the foundation’s “Threads of Dignity: Back-to-School Attire Initiative”.
The items distributed included two pairs of school uniforms, two pairs of socks, school bags, notebooks and stationery for each beneficiary.
The beneficiaries comprised 34 male and 51 female Primary 1 pupils, as well as 32 male and 48 female Primary 3 pupils.
Mrs Adeola Azeez, Founder of AACCF, said the initiative was based on the belief that every child should resume school confident, prepared and included.
Azeez said school uniforms were an important part of a pupil’s academic journey and could contribute to their confidence and sense of belonging.
She said the initiative was a continuation of the foundation’s relationship with the school following the commissioning of its N30 million Tech Hub project in January.
“Impact is not a one-time event. It means showing up, listening and doing what we can with the resources and partnerships available to us,” she said.
Azeez said the foundation hoped the uniforms would remind the beneficiaries that they mattered and that their education and future were important.
Chief Felix Ayankoya, Education Secretary, Ijebu-Ode Local Government Area, commended Azeez for partnering with government to improve access to quality education.
Ayankoya said contributions from well-meaning Nigerians remained important to achieving the government’s goal of ensuring that every child received education.
Mrs Comfort Osinaike, Chairperson, Association of Primary School Headteachers, Ijebu-Ode Branch, also appreciated the foundation for supporting education in the area.
Osinaike said teachers from other schools had been using the Tech Hub established by the foundation at Emmanuel Anglican Primary School for teaching and training.
The headteachers of the two schools, Mr Lawrence Oso and Mrs F.A. Ashiru, expressed appreciation, saying the intervention would positively affect the beneficiary pupils.
The programme ended with the presentation of the items to the pupils, photographs and appreciation from the school community.
