The Former Speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Tunji Egbetokun, has charged members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ajebo Ward, Obafemi Owode Local Government, to reinforce their unity, commitment and mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Rt. Hon. Egbetokun gave the charge while addressing ward leaders, party executives and other supporters during a party meeting held at APC party Secretariat in Ajebo Ward. He urged members to close ranks, strengthen the party's grassroots structure and work collectively towards ensuring victory for the APC in the forthcoming elections.
He engaged youth leaders in the ward and charged them to improve the mobilisation of their members, stressing the need for every segment of the party to intensify efforts and strengthen political strategies ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He also expressed confidence in the continued support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and Governorship candidate, Sen. Solomon Adeola-YAyi, while mobilising party members towards the success of the APC and other candidates in the 2027 general elections.
Rt. Hon. Egbetokun further expressed optimism in the readiness of the ruling party to secure victory at all levels, including the Senate, House of Representatives and State House of Assembly elections.
While he received the decamped members from the People's Democratic Party (PDP) to the folds of the progressives.
He therefore assured the decamped members of equal treatment, fair share in the political functions and harmonization
Similarly, the Executive Chairman of Obafemi Owode Local Government, Amb. Adesina ‘Lanre Ogunsola, FCPA, also charged the APC supporters during meeting, urging members to remain united, committed and focused on consolidating the gains of the APC through effective grassroots mobilisation, communication with constituents and sustained engagement with party faithful.
The Council Chairman emphasised that unity, discipline, loyalty and strategic mobilisation would remain critical to the party's success, calling on members to continue working together and strengthening the formidable political structure of the APC in Ajebo Ward and across Obafemi Owode Local Government.
He commended the efforts of the stakeholders in bringing together the various formidable forces that make up Ajebo Ward, describing their collective commitment as a strong foundation for future electoral success.
While emphasized his continued efforts in taking care of the people's interest, through even distribution of projects across wards and materials for party supporters.
In the same vein, Former Chairman, Hon. Mustapha Fatai Eruobodo called for sustained support and mobilisation for the party's candidates across all levels, including the senatorial, House of Representative and Ogun State House of Assembly elections, as the APC continued its preparations towards achieving a resounding victory in 2027.
The meeting ended with a renewed commitment by party leaders, youth leaders and members of the APC in Ajebo Ward to remain united and intensify mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2027 general elections.
