In a statement issued on Saturday by the association's National President, the association said the decision reflected the President’s confidence in Shettima’s leadership, loyalty, and commitment to the administration’s agenda.
Apelogun described the Vice President as a dependable partner who has contributed to the implementation of government policies and programmes aimed at promoting economic growth, strengthening national unity, and improving the welfare of Nigerians.
The National President said retaining the Tinubu-Shettima ticket would ensure continuity in governance and provide the stability needed to sustain ongoing reforms across key sectors of the economy.
He also expressed optimism that the administration would continue to address pressing national challenges, including insecurity, unemployment, infrastructure development, and youth empowerment.
While reaffirming its support for the President and Vice President, Apelogun urged Nigerians to remain peaceful and committed to the democratic process ahead of the 2027 general election.
He prayed for wisdom, strength, and divine guidance for the nation’s leaders as they continue to discharge their responsibilities in the interest of the country.
