A political support group for Senator Solomon Adeola , Yayi Faithful Boys has pledged to deliver over 5,000 votes for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Ogun Central Senatorial District ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The Chairman of the group, Comrade Adekunle Oyatope, popularly known as Danku Yayi on Sunday during a prayer session for Senator Yayi disclosed that the group has spent the last two years mobilising support for the governorship ambition of Olamilekan Solomon Adeola.
“In Ogun Central senatorial district, We Yayi Faithful Boys promise APC over 5,000 votes ahead of the 2027 general elections—we guarantee,” he stated.
Danku also explained that the group has been encouraging members to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards.
“In every meeting, we always inform our members and new members to get their PVCs. Those who don’t have them, we take to the Independent National Electoral Commission office to register because that is what we will use to vote for Senator Yayi and other APC candidates,” he said.
Also speaking, the Commissioner for Forestry in Ogun State, Hon. Taiwo Oludotun, urged members to work for all APC candidates across the board.
“We must ensure massive votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Yayi and other APC candidates. If you love Yayi, you must be ready to work for other APC candidates,” .
Meanwhile, the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on ICT, Hon. Akeem Oluseye, described the group as a unifying platform for young people.
“The purpose of the Faithful Boys is to unite the youths and strong boys in Ogun Central. I urge them to stay focused on the main objective of keeping the district peaceful and well coordinated before and after the election,” he said.
He added that members must not be complacent. “We must not overlook the opposition. We need to work tirelessly to secure more votes than the last election,”he said.
The Commissioner I of the Ogun State Local Government Service Commission, Hon. Olufemi Adiro, emphasised grassroots mobilisation.
He said “ The most important thing is Senator Yayi’s emergence as governor of Ogun State. Everyone should move to their wards and begin the work for his emergence and for all APC candidates,”.
Secretary of Caucus 7202 in Ogun State, Macgregor, also encouraged voter participation. “Get your PVCs—that is the way to tell Senator Yayi that we love him,”.
Assistant Secretary of Yayi Faithful Boys, Oluwagbenga Adeyemi emphasized on the importance of prayer.
“In everything we do, let's put God first, that's the purpose of this prayer for Senator Yayi .We believe in prayer and urge our members to go out to their various local governments to preach Senator Yayi,”.
Islamic scholars who offered the prayer at the event were led by Sheikh Sa’ad Bamigbola, the Chief Imam of Egbaland, alongside **Sheikh Satar Ademoye popularly known as Ya Satar among others.
