Fagbenro described the victory of the two candidates during the APC primaries as a reflection of the confidence and trust party members have in their leadership abilities and political experience.
The former councillor noted that the emergence of Senator Adeola as the party’s governorship candidate has further strengthened the hope of APC members and residents across Ogun State ahead of the 2027 general election.
Speaking with journalists in Abeokuta on Friday, Fagbenro expressed optimism that the candidates would deliver quality representation and purposeful leadership to the people if elected.
According to him, “I want to sincerely congratulate Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly known as Yayi, on his emergence as the APC governorship candidate. I also congratulate Hon. Babatunde Tella on his emergence as the House of Assembly candidate representing Abeokuta North State Constituency”.
He added, “Their victories are well deserved because they have remained committed to the growth of the party and the development of the people. I believe they possess the experience, capacity and leadership qualities needed to move Ogun State forward.”
Fagbenro also commended APC members and leaders in Abeokuta North and across the state for ensuring a peaceful and successful primary election process.
He called on party faithful to remain united and work together to ensure total victory for the APC in the forthcoming general elections.
“The task ahead requires unity, commitment and collective effort from all party members. I am confident that with the support of the people, APC will record massive success in the elections,” he said.
