All Progressives Congress, APC, House of Representatives aspirant for Abeokuta South Federal Constituency, Hon. Tolulope Philips, has reaffirmed his commitment to contest the party’s ticket ahead of the 2026 elections.
Speaking with journalists today, Philips dismissed speculations about his withdrawal, stating categorically that he remains in the race for the Federal House of Representatives seat.
“I have already purchased the APC expression of interest and nomination form for this ticket. I am the best man for the job, and I am fully prepared to contest,” he declared.
Philips confirmed his readiness to participate in the APC direct primary election scheduled for May 18, 2026. He urged party delegates and supporters across Abeokuta South to turn out _en masse_ to back his ambition.
“This is a project to give Abeokuta South quality representation. I’m calling on all my supporters to come out strongly and support this movement,” he added.
The aspirant maintained that his decision to run is driven by a desire to deliver effective representation to the people of the federal constituency.
