The wife of Ogun Central Senatorial aspirant, Dr. (Mrs.) Clara Soyoola, has empowered over 200 women across the senatorial district as part of efforts to support the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the initiatives of First Lady Oluremi Tinubu aimed at advancing women’s development nationwide.
Speaking during the empowerment programme on Wednesday, Clara Soyoola commended the president for what she described as his giant strides in moving the country forward. She also praised Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun for ongoing developmental projects across the state.
According to her, the initiative was designed to align with the Renewed Hope Agenda by supporting women and strengthening small-scale businesses across Ogun Central.
She appreciated the President and the First Lady's commitment to national development of the nation and their good governance .
Beneficiaries were drawn from the six local government areas within the senatorial district.
Addressing participants at the event, Ogun Central senatorial hopeful Emmanuel Olusola Soyoola urged the beneficiaries to make good use of the grants provided.
He encouraged them to grow the support into sustainable ventures while calling for political backing ahead of future elections.
He assured attendees that beyond empowerment programmes, his agenda would prioritise agriculture, education, healthcare, road infrastructure and inclusive governance if elected.
Also speaking, Ogun Central Senatorial Women Leader Kikelomo Adelana said the grants would help boost small businesses and commended the aspirant and his wife for supporting women at a critical time.
Similarly, Abeokuta North APC Women Leader Dayo Sanni praised the couple for funding the initiative with personal resources, noting that the gesture demonstrated commitment to grassroots inclusion and representation.
Beneficiaries at the event expressed appreciation for the intervention, pledging to use the funds judiciously to expand their businesses and improve their livelihoods.
