A leading senatorial aspirant in the All Progressives Congress, Ogun Central Senatorial District, Dr. Emmanuel Olusola Soyoola, has inaugurated campaign coordinators across the 74 wards of Ogun Central Senatorial District, charging them to intensify grassroots mobilisation ahead of the elections.
Speaking during the inauguration on Wednesday, Dr Soyoola urged the coordinators to campaign vigorously across their various wards in the entire six local governments of the senatorial district which include Abeokuta North, Abeokuta South, Ewekoro, Ifo, Obafemi Owode, and Odeda Local Government.
Addressing the newly inaugurated coordinators, the aspirant stressed the importance of grassroots engagement and unity.
“You should campaign vigorously for the cause so that people will know that we came to help our people and our nation, most especially the people from Ogun Central,” he said.
Soyoola acknowledged the coordinators’ familiarity with their respective wards and encouraged them to take ownership of the campaign effort.
“I may not know all your needs in each of the wards, but you coordinators know them and all shall be addressed . If you can campaign for us and we emerge, we will all enjoy the dividends of democracy,” he added.
He also reassured the team of his accessibility and inclusive leadership style.
“You all will take us there by campaigning in your wards. I operate an open-door policy; you can reach me any time.”
Also speaking at the event, an APC chieftain in Abeokuta North, Hon. Wale Bello, he outlined the responsibilities of the coordinators, describing them as representatives of the aspirant across the senatorial district.
“Anything worth doing at all is worth doing well. The aspirant’s humility is unparallel. If we have this kind of man as senator, we will enjoy him,” Bello said.
