The City Boy Movement (CBM) is a prominent Nigerian youth-driven political advocacy group established in 2022 to mobilise support for the presidential ambition and administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The movement has since grown into a structured platform promoting progressive leadership, grassroots engagement, and national unity.
The group is also widely associated with the Renewed Hope agenda of the Tinubu administration, working through youth mobilisation and political advocacy to strengthen support for the government’s programmes and policies across the country.
Speaking with journalists over the weekend, Ambassador Whyte expressed appreciation for the confidence reposed in him by the leadership of the movement, describing his appointment as an opportunity to contribute more meaningfully to national development.
According to him, the movement remains committed to strengthening grassroots participation in governance while promoting policies that will benefit Nigerian youths and the larger society.
“My mission is to work closely with my Director-General, the State Coordinator and every member of the movement to ensure that the objectives of the organisation are fully realised,” he said.
Whyte further stated that his new role would focus on expanding the reach of the movement across communities in Ogun State while encouraging more young people to actively participate in the political process.
“We will continue to mobilise support and ensure that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu secures re-election for a second term in office. Our commitment is to the vision of progressive leadership and the Renewed Hope agenda,” he added.
