The distribution exercise, which took place on Saturday saw the beneficiaries drawn from various Hausa community leadership structures within the state.
The initiative was aimed at easing the burden of fasting and encouraging solidarity among members of the Hausa community.
Speaking on the gesture, the Coordinator of the Arewa Community in the All Progressives Congress in Osun State, Alhaji Umar Mohammad, expressed appreciation to Ajisope for remembering the Hausa traditional leaders during the sacred period.
Alhaji Umar Mohammad, who also served as Senior Special Assistant on Non-Indigenes to former Osun State Governor Gboyega Oyetola, described the intervention as timely and a reflection of Ajisope’s commitment to community development and humanitarian support.
He noted that the distribution of Ramadan packages would go a long way in supporting Muslim faithful across the Hausa settlements in the state, particularly at a time when many families are preparing for the spiritual obligations of the fasting season.
According to him, the Seriki Hausa leaders who received the packages on behalf of their communities expressed gratitude for the thoughtful gesture and assured that the items would be shared appropriately among members.
He further called on other well-meaning individuals and organizations to emulate the philanthropic efforts of Alhaji Abdul Kabir Ajisope, stressing that such initiatives help to promote unity, compassion, and communal harmony during the holy month of Ramadan.
