Eid-el-Fitr: Ogun Assembly Aspirant Olalekan Jiboku Felicitates Muslim Faithful

Ogun State House of Assembly aspirant, Olalekan Jiboku, has extended warm greetings to Muslim faithful in Ogun State and across Nigeria as they celebrate Eid-el-Fitr, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

In a statement released on Thursday, Jiboku congratulated the Muslim community for successfully completing the month-long fasting, prayers, and acts of charity, describing the period as one of deep spiritual reflection and discipline.

“Eid-el-Fitr is a time of joy, gratitude, and renewed commitment to the values of peace, compassion, and unity,” Jiboku said.

“I congratulate all our Muslim brothers and sisters for the strength and devotion demonstrated throughout Ramadan.”

He urged residents of Ogun State to sustain the virtues of patience, generosity, and love for one another beyond the festive period, noting that these values are essential for building a more harmonious and progressive society.

According to him, “The lessons of Ramadan should not end with the celebration. We must continue to uphold righteousness, support the less privileged, and promote peaceful coexistence in our communities.”

Jiboku also called on citizens to use the festival to pray for the continued peace, stability, and development of Ogun State and Nigeria at large.

“As we celebrate, let us remember to pray for our leaders and work together towards a brighter future for all,” he added.

He wished all Muslim faithful a peaceful and joyous Eid celebration, encouraging them to celebrate responsibly and in accordance with the values of the season.
