Soyoola made this call on Thursday in a statement to mark the end of the holy month of Ramadan, congratulating Muslim faithful for the successful completion of the fasting period.
He described the season as a time of spiritual renewal and self-discipline.
Dr Olusola emphasized the need for Muslims to sustain the virtues of patience, sacrifice, and generosity imbibed during Ramadan, noting that these qualities are essential for national development and peaceful coexistence.
According to him, “Eid-el-Fitr is not only a celebration but also a reminder of the importance of compassion, tolerance, and unity among Nigerians, regardless of religious or ethnic differences.”
Soyoola further called on citizens to continue to pray for the peace, progress, and stability of the country, stressing that collective efforts and sincere prayers are crucial in overcoming the nation’s challenges.
He also urged political leaders and stakeholders to prioritize the welfare of the people and work towards policies that will promote inclusive growth and development across all sectors.
While wishing Muslims a joyous celebration, Soyoola encouraged Nigerians to use the festive period to strengthen bonds of friendship and promote harmony in their various communities.
