Hon. Odunnoiki delivered the goodwill message while addressing members of the press at the Arcade Ground, Governor’s Office, Oke Mosan, Abeokuta, during activities commemorating Ogun State’s Golden Jubilee.
He described the anniversary as a significant milestone that reflects the state’s steady growth, resilience, and progress over the decades.
Commending Governor Abiodun’s leadership, the council chairman expressed appreciation for what he termed impactful and visionary governance.
He praised the governor for completing inherited projects and initiating new developmental strides that have repositioned Ogun State as a leading industrial hub in Nigeria.
According to him, key achievements under the current administration include the construction of the Gateway International Airport in Iperu, the recent approval for the development of a Deep Sea Port in the Olokola axis of Ogun Waterside Local Government, and the drilling of an oil well in the Tongeji Island area of Ipokia Local Government — a development that places Ogun among Nigeria’s oil-producing states.
“Your milestone achievements and transformative projects are worthy of emulation. You have turned Ogun State into a major industrial center through meaningful and laudable initiatives. You are truly a God-sent to Ogun State,” Hon. Odunnoiki stated.
He further expressed pride in the governor’s accomplishments and reaffirmed the commitment of Ogun Waterside Local Government to supporting the state’s development agenda.
The council chairman also offered prayers for continued peace, unity, progress, and prosperity in Ogun State, urging citizens to remain committed to collective growth and harmony.
