Ogun Councillor Hon. Victor Olusola Boosts Grassroots Development with Road Grading Project in Abeokuta North

The Councillor representing Ward 14 in Abeokuta North Local Government Area of Ogun State, Hon. Victor Olusola, has undertaken the grading of Imala main roads within his ward to enhance smooth vehicular movement and improve accessibility for residents.

The road intervention, which was carried out across key communities in the ward, is part of the councillor’s ongoing commitment to grassroots development and responsive representation since assuming office.

Speaking with newsmen on Saturday, in Abeokuta, Hon. Olusola explained that the initiative was informed by the need to provide immediate solutions to challenges posed by bad roads, especially during the dry season when grading can yield optimal results.

According to him, “My strategy is to provide timely solutions that will guarantee a smooth driving surface and improve the structural stability of the roads for the benefit of motorists, traders and residents of Ward 14.”

He noted that the poor condition of some internal roads had previously hindered free movement and affected economic activities, adding that the grading exercise would ease transportation and reduce vehicle damage.

Hon. Olusola further disclosed that the intervention aligns with the broader development agenda of the Ogun State Government, which places emphasis on infrastructure improvement at both urban and grassroots levels.

He appreciated Governor Dapo Abiodun, commending him for his people-oriented policies and unwavering commitment to infrastructural development across Ogun State, particularly at the local government level.

“ The governor has touch everywhere in terms of development, I sincerely appreciate him for creating an enabling environment that allows grassroots leaders to complement the state’s developmental efforts,” he said.
