The Olú of Ibogun Balogun Kingdom, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Adeṣina Fakayọde Faluade, Aníkinníkùn Olú Ọba I, has congratulated the Paramount Ruler and Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo, CFR, Okukenu IV, on the celebration of his 20th coronation anniversary.
In his congratulatory message made available to newsmen on Thursday, Oba Faluade described the reign of the Alake as one that has brought immense peace, progress, and unity to the entire Egba Kingdom.
He commended the monarch for his wisdom, fatherly leadership, and dedication to the socio-economic development of Egbaland and Ogun State at large.
The monarch noted that Oba Gbadebo has, over the past two decades, exemplified true royalty and leadership through his unrelenting efforts in preserving Egba heritage and promoting the welfare of his people.
He described the Alake as a revered traditional ruler whose influence extends beyond Egbaland, highlighting his contributions to national unity, education, and the cultural advancement of the Yoruba race.
According to Oba Faluade, the Alake’s visionary leadership has not only fostered harmony among the Egba sub-kingdoms—Ake, Owu, Oke-Ona, and Gbagura, but also strengthened the relationship between the traditional institution and the government.
“Your Majesty’s reign has been marked by peace, progress, and a strong sense of purpose. You have remained a symbol of integrity and a rallying point for all Egba sons and daughters, both at home and in the diaspora”.
He added that Oba Gbadebo’s continuous advocacy for education, youth empowerment, and cultural preservation has inspired many traditional rulers across the state and beyond to emulate his developmental strides.
“I pray for continued wisdom, sound health, and divine grace for the Alake to lead Egbaland to greater heights in the years ahead.
“I use this opportunity to call on Egba sons and daughters to unite in celebration and continue supporting the Alake in his noble mission of building a stronger and more prosperous Egbaland” he said.
