…Pledges Renewed Service, Unity, Youth Empowerment
The colourful installation ceremony on Saturday drew dignitaries, traditional title holders, youth groups, and admirers of Otunba Adegbenro, who is widely known for his philanthropy, security expertise, and political engagement.
Speaking shortly after his installation, the newly decorated Asiwaju Jagunmolu expressed gratitude to the Alake and promised to intensify his service to the people of Egbaland.
He revealed that he had already commenced a new borehole project as part of his first assignment under the prestigious title.
“I have started a borehole as my first project. I have done over 48 boreholes in Ogun State, and I continue to host medical outreach programmes, especially for eye treatment,” he said.
Otunba Adegbenro, who described the title as an upgrade motivated by his years of service and commitment, assured Egba sons and daughters that he would continue to champion development, unity, and social progress.
“This is my 20 years on the reign,I’ll make sure that with my commitment, they will see a different Egba people. We’re going to make a change,” he said.
He emphasized his readiness for leadership at all levels, describing politics as a natural part of him.
“Politics is inside me. I’m ready for any service. If it comes to service, I’ll definitely do it,” he added.
On national unity and youth identity, Otunba Adegbenro urged young Nigerians to embrace patriotism and self-belief.
“The youth must believe in themselves. We are not white, we are Black, we are Nigerians. That is why I have my tribal marks. I believe in the unity of Nigeria for what my forefathers fought for and what our president believes in.”
He commended traditional rulers, especially the Owu monarch, for rallying youths around cultural values and heritage.
Speaking on national insecurity, he called for a strategic shift in addressing the root causes rather than blaming national leadership.
“Insecurity is eating all of us. Much of it is sponsored. It is not the president. They need to deal with the sponsors, those giving information. Anyone sponsoring anything against the country should be locked up and killed. The people killing are part of us, they are Nigerians.”
Born on March 26, 1973, to Chief Niyi Adegbenro of Ewekoro, Ogun State, Otunba Adejare Rewane Adegbenro holds dual citizenship of Nigeria and the United Kingdom. A medical doctor trained at the University College London (UCL), he also possesses multiple degrees in business and entrepreneurship from POMA University as well as certifications from security institutions across Europe.
He holds professional memberships with global organisations including:

• College of Diplomatic Studies & International Relations (Fellow)

He is the National President (Nigeria) of the West African Youth Alliance (WAYA) and a Board Member of the ECOWAS Youth Parliament.
Professionally, he has served as MD/CEO of Balmoral International Ltd., Chairman of the Dr. Otunba Adejare Rewane Adegbenro Foundation (OAAF), and currently serves as Liaison Director and Protocol Officer of Ceci Educare Oy, Finland. He is also a Petty Officer of the International Police Organization (IPO), African Command.
Otunba Adegbenro is presently enrolled in a PhD programme at the University of Liverpool.
