The colourful investiture which was held at the Continental suites, Abeokuta, Ogun State capital was greeted with funfair and glamour with the theme " United for Good".
Also, the investiture which was supervised by Rotarian Valentine Somoye, the Assistant District Governor, witnessed an award presentation, induction of Board of Directors and introduction of new members of the Club.
Some of the dignitaries at the event, included Special Adviser to Governor Dapo Abiodun on Health, Dr. Reuben Ogungbe, Oloke Odan of Oke Odan, Oba Oluwarotimi Fagbenro, Dr. Adekunle Adediran, Acting Chief Medical Director, Federal Medical Centre, Abeokuta, Past President, Rotarian Engr. Oluleke Adebiyi , Rotarian Abiodun Sobogun, Charter President, immediate past President, Henry Adedokun, among others.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Ogungbe described Rotary Club as a strong partner in progress of the Ogun State government, stressing that the health related projects of the club, aligned with the health agenda of the government.
He said " Governor Dapo Abiodun is happy with the good work Rotary Club is doing in the State and beyond. You ( Rotary Club) are partner in progress. We appreciate what you are doing".
While describing Rotarian Olanrewaju as an intelligent medical practitioner, stressed that Rotary Clubs' members are good people and government will continue to support them.
He noted that the government will continue to build more Primary health care centers, equiped both the secondary and tertiary hospitals within the State in order to improve the health care system.
Ogungbe revealed that the 250 bedded Specialist hospital in Abeokuta is nearing completion, revealing that it completion, will turn the State to a medical tourist centre.
He disclosed that he graced the occasion to honour Rotarian Olanrewaju who he described as an important person to him.
Oba Fagbenro in his own remarks, disclosed that Rotary Club continues to play life transforming purposes in the society, stressing that the Club is deliberate in its moves to provide various social amenities to the communities.
He therefore advised "I want to advice , don't relent, the Bible says whatever good things you are doing do not stop, you will reap the benefits".
The Immediate Past President, Rtn. Henry Adedokun while giving his stewardship report, appreciate all members for their cooperation which leads to the huge success recorded by execution of all projects in the Rotary 7 areas of focus and the provision of Water and Toilets facilities at Imo Community, Abeokuta.
He then solicited full support for his successor.
In his acceptance speech, the 4th President of Rotary Club of Rock City, Rotarian Olanrewaju, urged his members to come together and work for the betterment of the society.
He said " The theme of this Rotary year is ' United for Good ', this is the year Rock City members need to come together to make our society better. The goal is to make lasting changes in the RC Rock City members, lasting changes in our society and lasting changes in the world. And the end result will definitely make society a better place in this Rotary year."
According to him, " To our dear friends, and guests , Rotary promotes good will among friends. Our first motto is 'service above self's, only good people remember the less privileged and the needy in the society, unite with us to do good ".
He, however, appealed to his fellow members to unite under the ambience of friendship, saying nothing else matters.

The Chief launcher and Chief Executive Officer of Denco Multi-concepts limited, Mr. Dennis Oyinye Ejiofor was decorated as honourary member of the Rotary Club of Rock City.
