The projects, sited at Fagbenro Health Centre and within the wider Ilewo-Orile community, were described by residents as a huge relief, especially for households and patients who have suffered years of inadequate access to clean water.
Speaking during the commissioning, Hon. Tella explained that the borehole at the health centre required drilling as deep as 240 feet before water could be found.
He urged the community to take proper ownership of the facilities and ensure their maintenance, stressing that public projects could only serve their purpose if residents use and protect them judiciously.
“This borehole belongs to all of you, take control of it and maintain it so that it will serve generations,” he advised.
Addressing questions on road infrastructure, the lawmaker assured the people that their concerns had been noted.
“The Councillor has raised the issue of roads. When the time comes, grading will be done,” he said, adding that he remains committed to tackling developmental needs across Abeokuta North Local Government.
Meanwhile, the Leader of the Legislative Arm of Abeokuta North Local Government Hon. Moruf Erubami, commended Tella’s efforts, attributing the success to Governor Dapo Abiodun’s support.
He emphasized that the lawmaker has delivered meaningful projects across all corners of the constituency.
“When someone is doing well, people naturally call for continuity,Prince Tella has a genuine passion for his people he knows what the people want and it is not out of place if residents demand he returns for a second term to continue delivering the dividends of democracy.”
Also speaking , the Ward Chairman of ward 15 Isaga-Ilewo-Orile, Mr. Peter Enitan, praised Tella for being a listening leader who fulfills promises.
He recalled how, during the campaign, residents identified water as their most pressing need, particularly in the Fagbenro area where people had suffered water shortages for many years.
“To God be the glory, Hon. Tella has provided what we requested. This is a testimony that he knows the yearnings of the people. The Community Development Association (CDA) will take responsibility for the borehole’s maintenance, while residents must use it wisely.”
The commissioning event was attended by community leaders, party faithful, and residents who celebrated the project as a turning point in the development of Ilewo-Orile, pledging their continued support for the lawmaker.
