The event, which took place at the family’s country home in Ilaro, Ogun State, was attended by dignitaries, family, friends, and associates who showered the celebrant with gifts and tributes.
The occasion also featured prayers from both Islamic and Christian clerics, including the Chief Imam of Ilaro, Alhaji Tajudeen Adewunmi, and other spiritual leaders who offered blessing to the celebrant and her family.
Prominent traditional rulers in attendance included the Olu of Imasayi, HRM Oba Lukman Kuoye; the Oloja of Oja-Odan, HRM Oba Oyebanji Adetunji; and the Oniwoye of Iwoye Yewa, HRM Oba Buhari Makinde
Adding colour to the day were uplifting songs and praises rendered by Glorious Twins, gospel artiste keyboardist Vkeyz, which heightened the atmosphere of joy and thanksgiving
While speaking at the event, guests and beneficiaries described Mrs. Egungbohun is “a woman with a large heart, a pillar of support to the less-privileged, and a shining example of true motherhood and philanthropy.
One of the Widows beneficiary, identified as Mama Funke, thanked the IBD foundation and the celebrant for profusely for the timely relief and much-needed help they received.
“In this difficult and trying time, someone remembered us,” she appreciated.
The beneficiaries also expressed gratitude to the celebrant and her entire family for identifying with them at these difficult times, praying for God's blessings upon her.
Friends and relatives who have also been impacted by the celebrant's generosity were not left out as they spoke glowingly to her cheerfulness in doling out succour and her caring heart.
Earlier, Mrs. Egungbohun had received numerous goodwill messages, surprises, and gifts from well-wishers, friends, and associates.
While appreciating the show of love, the celebrant urged the widows and aged women present to remain steadfast in raising their children with good values.
She encouraged them to teach their children to know God, prioritize their education, maintain neatness and good hygiene, and embrace hard work.
According to her, the birthday celebration was not only to mark her personal milestone but also to extend love and care to the less privileged in society.
She explained that giving back has always been part of her life, and the annual outreach was her way of thanking God for His grace while putting smiles on the faces of others.
