Ogun NLC Suspends Strike After 8 Days

After eight days of industrial action, the Ogun State chapter of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) has suspended its strike.

The suspension comes following an agreement to constitute a Pension Fund Management Committee — a key outcome of negotiations between union leaders and the state government.

The committee is expected to address the core demands raised by the workers, including issues related to unpaid deductions and pension management.

During the strike, government offices, public schools, and health facilities were shut down, significantly disrupting essential services across the state.
