Gov. Abiodun Commends Amb. Ogunsola as Obafemi Owode LG Commissions Key Projects

The Ogun State Governor, His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON has commended the performance of the Executive Chairman, Obafemi Owode Local Government, Amb. Adesina 'Lanre Ogunsola, FCPA during the commissioning of Projects at the council area.

Speaking at the event, the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Ganiu Hamzat representing the Governor, commended the council boss for the judicious spending of the local government fund released by the Ogun State government. 

He stressed that among the 20 Local Government in the state, given approval by the Ministry, Obafemi Owode Local Government is the first to complete and commissioned its projects as the testament to dedication of the development of infrastructure in the council area.

"Amb. Adesina 'Lanre Ogunsola has remained resolute in his promise in developing Obafemi Owode Local Government beyond measures, having understand the proximity of the council area to Lagos and Oyo States, as it is observed as the gateway to Ogun State".
In his remarks, Ambassador Ogunsola appreciated the leadership role of His Excellency, Prince Dr. Dapo Abiodun, in strengthening the collaboration efforts of the local governments in the development of the areas.

He stressed that the commissioning of five projects at a role is a remarkable achievement, as he was sworn-in less than a year of his second term in office which proved the dedication and the uprightness of his led administration at ensuring the fair share of the dividend of democracy across the local government area.

The Chairman assured the Maba Community of his unrelenting efforts in actualizing a construction of a befitting secondary school project in the area, just as he fulfilled the promised made on the construction of primary school few years back.

Similarly, Amb. Ogunsola has equally commissioned Magboro Shopping Mall on Lagos axis of the Obafemi Owode Local Government Area. 
Sharing the vision behind the construction of the edifice, Amb. Ogunsola said Obafemi Owode local government is the industrial hub of Ogun State, which has made it unaffordable for him to relegate the importance and economic impact of the proximity to Lagos State . 

He explained that the local government has to move some section of Magboro market to creat space for the construction of the shopping mall, with the sole aim of giving the market a new look and standard it required.

In the same vein, Ogidan Asphalt road in Obafemi Owode Local Government has been commissioned amid joy and praises. 

The road was rehabilitated by the Amb. Adesina 'Lanre Ogunsola led administration after years of deplorable condition.

Chief Abdul Rasak Adisa Afolarin, Baale Aderupatan Village, Ajebo Ward also showered encomium on the council boss for the provision of Motorized Borehole for his community.

The Baale was filled with joy, as the stress passed through by the people living in the village in having pipe burn water in their respective home was too alarming.

He stressed that in the past, people were subjected to many humiliation by their neighbors, just because they couldn't have good water at their disposal. He recalled that on many occasion the villagers had been denied access to fetch water due to many failed promises by politicians in the past.

He therefore urged the people living in the village to inculcate good maintenance for the borehole to last for a very long time.

Some of the dignitaries at the commissioning of projects includes, Engr. Babatunde Adesina, Special Adviser to the Governor on Public Works and Infrastructure, Rt. Hon. Tunji Egbetokun, Hon. Bamidele Erisan, Chief Woke Adeniji, Chief Idris Fadeyi, Hon. Sobukonla Abiodun Vice Chairman, Obafemi Owode Local Government, Chief Kayode Dipeolu, Secretary to Local Government, Hon. Saheed Ariyibi, Leader of the Legislative Council and other Councillors,Ms.Olufunke Adeniji Head of Local Government Administration and many others.
