In a message released by the President of the Society, Prince Mosediq Adeniji Kazeem, SAN, FCArb, children were reminded of their value in society and encouraged to embrace key Islamic virtues as they grow and learn.
“On this joyous occasion of Children’s Day, I extend warm felicitations to all children in our dear Nation and the entire world,” the statement began, urging children to remain obedient to their parents as commanded by Allah and to reflect on the teachings of the Holy Qur’an.
The message emphasized several core values including kindness, honesty, diligence, and gratitude. It cited relevant verses from the Qur’an and prophetic traditions to reinforce these principles. Among the verses quoted were Surah An-Nahl (16:90) which promotes kindness among believers, and Surah Al-Isra (17:23-24), which commands good treatment of parents.
Children were further encouraged to seek knowledge diligently, care for their health, respect authority figures, and be generous to others. “Remember, as children of Allah, you are precious and valued,” Prince Kazeem stated.
He concluded the message with heartfelt prayers, asking Allah to bless children with happiness, guidance, and success both in this world and in the hereafter. “May your childhood be filled with joy, laughter, and wisdom to learn. May you grow up to be righteous, compassionate, and contributing members of society. May Allah be with you always,” he prayed.
