...Celebrates Outgoing Police Commissioner, CP Abiodun Alamutu on a successful tenure
The presentation of the award was held today at the POWA hall, Ogun State Police Headquarters Eleweran, Abeokuta the state capital.
Speaking at the event, the PCRC chairman of Samson K Popoola (SKP) disclosed that the award targets junior police officers who are doing diligently well in their respective command and units, while also projecting the good image of the Police force.
He added that the majority of the junior officers had always left out on several occasions of award presentations of PCRC, but this time they were captured in other to leave a lasting impression of gratitude in the list of upcoming ranks and files.
"The opportunity being extended to the awardees today, I'm sure will have an indelible mark on them, knowing that even in their levels someone cares".
Popoola encouraged the officers the and entire police force to prioritize moral and emotional bravery, which requires standing by the truth all the time, preventing justice, being carried away, swayed, or compromised in the discharge of their duties.
"Emotional bravery requires giving support and encouragement to victims of criminal activities, being humane and knowing and showing to the people that the man in the uniforms is human and humane first and foremost".
In his remark, the outgoing commissioner for police CP Abiodun Alamutu commended PCRC for identifying the police officers and decorated them with awards.
He noted that the award presented to them would boost their morale and encourage others who have not been captured for the awards to follow their steps.
