Obafemi Owode LG Chair Bags NLC Distinguish LG Outstanding Performance Award

It is a known fact that the reward for good work is more work, as Obafemi Owode Local Government again shines above other sister local governments in Ogun State. On Tuesday 30th April, 2024, the Nigeria Labour Congress, Ogun State Chapter recognized the dedication and exceptional contributions of individuals, corporate organisations and government agencies whose unwavering commitment to the cause of workers' rights has been proven beyond doubt.

The Executive Chairman, Obafemi Owode Local Government, Amb. Ogunsola Adesina Lanre, FCPA, awarded a distinguish local government outstanding performance by the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC, Ogun State Chapter) at a well attended 2024 Award and Gala night,  held at Union Secretariat, Leme, Abeokuta.

Speaking at the event, Comrade Hameed Benco Ademola, NLC Chairman described the awards as the symbolic sacrifices made by countless individuals in the labour movement and which serves as a testament to the resilience and determination of the human spirit in the face of adversity.

He further appreciated the support of well-meaning dignitaries, government agencies who identifide with the union in actualizing a robust workers' rights which has propelled the journey toward justice and equality in terms of workers' welfare.

Addressing journalist at the award night, Amb. Ogunsola reiterated his commitments towards providing a necessary support needed to workers', not only at the local government level but the state as a whole.

He therefore assured that through out is term in office as the council Chairman, he will continue improving and better the workers welfare across sectors in the council area.
