The Executive Chairman of Obafemi-Owode Local Government, Ambassador Ogunsola Lanrewaju Adesina, on Monday, May 1, 2024, hosted broadcast journalists and media partners in Abeokuta to commemorate Workers' Day and strengthen relationships with the media.
The meeting comes a day after Adesina received an award from the Nigeria Labour Congress, Ogun State chapter, as the 'Outstanding Local Government Chairman in Ogun State'.
Adesina praised the broadcast journalists, acknowledging them by name and expressing his appreciation for their work in disseminating information to the public.
He emphasized his commitment to partner with them to ensure effective governance and urged them to offer constructive criticism and advice to ensure his administration's success.
The media partners present at the meeting included Abdul Baki Balogun, Mc Van Garuba, Olusoji Akindiya, Ayinla Egba, Olufemi Oyekan, Musiliu Sanni Mr Bebe, Ayomide Adetunji Mr Quality, Kikelomo Ogunsina, Emmanuel Oke, Akin Asokere, Adelekan Aderibigbe Lekan Lokoso, Omooba Tiyamiyu and the Online Media Practitioners in Ogun state such as, Solanke Ayomideji Taiwo, Amebo Online Newspapers, Babalola Gafar of News Channel, Osoba Olajide of News Angle, Mr Kola Sodehinde information officer of Abeokuta South local government among others.
Ambassador Ogunsola Lanrewaju Adesina assured the broadcast journalists that he would work on their suggestions and advises towards a quality delivery to ensure people's interest is well represented in a democratic government.
