Oba Adediran, in a congratulatory message made available to journalists on Wednesday , described Marwa as an exceptional leader and patriotic Nigerian whose contributions to national development and the fight against drug abuse have remained commendable.
The traditional ruler particularly praised the NDLEA chairman for what he described as his courage, discipline and unwavering commitment to ridding the country of illicit drugs and other substances capable of destroying the future of Nigerian youths.
According to the monarch, Marwa’s leadership of the anti-narcotics agency has brought renewed vigour to the campaign against drug trafficking and substance abuse across the country.
“On behalf of myself, the good people and the entire traditional institution of Owu-Akinale, I heartily congratulate Brigadier-General Mohamed Buba Marwa (retd.) on the occasion of his birthday anniversary,” Oba Adediran said.
He added, “Your life has been defined by selfless service, discipline, courage and an uncommon commitment to the progress and security of our dear country. Your remarkable efforts in the fight against drug abuse and trafficking continue to protect countless Nigerians, particularly our young people.”
The Towulade prayed for continued good health, divine wisdom and greater strength for the NDLEA boss, expressing confidence that Marwa would continue to contribute meaningfully to the development and stability of Nigeria.
