The declaration was made during a political rally in Isaga Orile on Friday by the APC Ward 15 Vice-Chairman and spokesperson for the party in Isaga Orile, Comrade Ojekunle Quadri, who said residents were increasingly judging political leadership by its impact on their everyday lives rather than political promises.
Quadri said the community had witnessed interventions in key areas, including roads, water, electricity, the town hall and market infrastructure, noting that such projects had strengthened the people’s confidence in progressive leadership.
“Our people are not carried away by empty promises. They want to see what leadership is doing on the ground. In Isaga Orile, we have seen interventions that touch the daily lives of our people, and that is why our support for the APC remains strong,” he said.
The APC spokesperson particularly commended Senator Adeola for what he described as interventions capable of improving living conditions and stimulating grassroots development.
According to him, Yayi’s approach to representation has demonstrated that elected officials can make meaningful contributions to communities when they remain connected to the needs of the people.
“Yayi has shown us that representation is not just about speaking in government offices. It is about bringing development closer to the people. When our roads, electricity, water and public facilities receive attention, ordinary citizens are the ones who feel the benefit,” Quadri said.
Speaking on Prince Babatunde Opeolu Tella, Quadri said the APC family in Isaga Orile had developed renewed confidence in his leadership and ability to represent the interests of the people.
“Prince Tella has given our people another reason to believe in the future. He understands the grassroots, he listens to the people and he appreciates the challenges facing our communities. We believe he can contribute significantly to the development we desire,” he stated.
Quadri stressed that the political position of the APC family in Isaga Orile was not borne out of hostility towards other political parties, but from a conviction that the APC’s programmes and leadership represented the direction the community wanted.
“Democracy gives everyone the freedom to choose who they want to support, and we respect that right. But as APC members in Isaga Orile, our choice is clear. We stand with President Tinubu, we stand with Yayi, we stand with Tella and we stand with the APC,” he said.
He also called for unity among APC members, youths, women and community leaders, urging them to place the collective development of Isaga Orile above personal differences.
“Our politics should not divide us. At the end of the day, we all want better roads, reliable water, improved electricity, functional markets, quality public facilities and opportunities for our young people. These are the issues that should unite us,” Quadri added.
The Ward 15 Vice-Chairman further urged residents to continue participating peacefully in the democratic process while supporting initiatives capable of improving the economic and social wellbeing of the community.
“We will support leaders who we believe are working for our people. We will continue to speak for our community and encourage peaceful political participation. Isaga Orile is ready for progress, development and continuity, and we believe APC provides the platform for that journey,” Quadri said.
Also speaking, Fowotade Azeez, a Local Government Executive Council member from Ward 15, Isaga Ilewo, commended Prince Tella for his contributions to the community, saying the ward remained firmly behind him.
“We appreciate Prince Tella for everything he has done for our people. Ward 15 is strongly behind him, and we are supporting him once again. We are also giving our full support to President Tinubu, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola Yayi, Prince Babatunde Tella and all other APC candidates,” Azeez said.
Comrade Akanni Akeem, Secretary of the APC in Isaga community, praised Tella for what he described as significant interventions across the community.
“We appreciate Prince Tella because he has done a lot for us. From borehole water to electricity and road interventions, we have seen his efforts. We are backing him once again, and we are also giving our support to Senator Olamilekan Adeola Yayi,” Akanni said.
Similarly, Khadijat Ojetola, Assistant Woman Leader from Isaga Orile Farm Estate, expressed appreciation to Senator Yayi, Prince Tella and Hon. Erubami for their support for the community.
“We appreciate Senator Yayi for what he has been doing for our community. We also appreciate Prince Tella and Hon. Erubami. Whenever we call on them, they respond to us. They have shown that they are accessible to the people,” she said.
Ojetola, however, appealed for more support for farmers in the community, particularly through the provision of tractors and modern farming equipment to improve agricultural productivity.
“We are also requesting tractors and farming tools for our farmers. Our people want to work and produce, but they need the necessary equipment to make farming easier and more productive,” she added.
She further appealed to political leaders to remember women and widows when empowerment programmes and other government interventions are being distributed.
“When they get there, they should remember the women, especially the widows. Women contribute greatly to the development of our communities, and they should not be left behind,” Ojetola said.
