The People of Ototo Lukoye Community of Obafemi Owode Local Government Area are filled with joy as Amb. Adesina 'Lanre Ogunsola, FCPA commissioned a 33KVA transformer, putting off 12 years of darkness.
Amb. Ogunsola during the commissioning, explained that Obafemi Owode Local Government remains one of the largest Local Governments in Southwest which makes the responsibility as a government so enormous, while encouraged the public particularly the residents of Ototo Lukoye to appreciate their share of dividends of democracy.
He disclosed that Obafemi Owode Local Government has 46 Community Development Committee (CDC), with over 2,000 Community Development Association ( CDA) and 12 political wards, which requires wisdom in the even distribution of basic infrastructure among villages, towns and communities in the council area.
" our administration inherited 161 Public Primary Schools while over seven schools presently enjoying construction of new classrooms , including a distinguished one at Maba with two blocks of Ten Classrooms,office and store, based on high number of pupils.
He further commended His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON for donating transformers to Obafemi Owode Local Government and pledged to continue to complement the efforts of the state government in all spheres.He equally appreciated the pupils of St. James primary school for welcoming him amid funfair.
He therefore charged the residents and the people of the Ototo community to continue supporting the government through payment of rates, and Levies, as government will not relent on the delivery of equitable dividend of democracy across sectors, wards, villages and towns of the council area.
Earlier, Chief Julius Ogundare, Chairman of Ototo Lukoye CDA explained that the community has been in darkness for over 12 years, with the intervention of Amb. Ogunsola that facilitated the donation of a new transformer, provided moral and financial support towards the Energization witnessed today, we are highly appreciative.
Similarly, Chief Olubori Ogundimu thanked the government for ascended to their request, as the population of Ototo Lukoye CDA has grown beyond what it used to be,while reiterated their support to the government at all time.
In the same vein, Chief Saubana Ganiu, Baale Oke-mosan commended the Amb. Ogunsola for registering his footprint in each area of the council, despite the enormous responsibility of government, that he is exceptional among others,as he used to hear his achievements on news all the time.
He further requested the government to assist the communities in providing primary health care center, portable water amongst,Roads among others.
Delivering his vote of thanks, Hon. Kayode Dipeolu, Secretary to Local Government thanked Amb. Ogunsola for prioritizing the request of his wards.
He explained that Egbeda wards is one of the 12 wards of Obafemi Owode Local Government, we are very fortunate to enjoy 3 transformers out of 5 transformers officially disbursed by the state government coupled with other infrastructural benefits.
Other dignitaries at the occasion includes, Mr. Bakare Bolaji, Director of Administration,Ministry of Special Duties Okemosan Abeokuta among others.
