A former House of Assembly aspirant for Odogbolu State Constituency and current Special Assistant to the Ogun State Governor, Hon. Moshood Adetayo Abubakar, popularly known as Daytayo, has congratulated Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, popularly called Yayi, on his victory at the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship primary election in Ogun State.
Senator Adeola emerged victorious in the party’s primary after polling 304,055 votes to defeat fellow aspirant Mr. Abayomi Hunye, who recorded zero votes.
In a congratulatory statement made available to newsmen, Daytayo described Yayi’s overwhelming victory as a reflection of the trust, acceptance, and popularity the senator enjoys among APC members and residents across Ogun State.
He noted that supporters and loyalists of Senator Yayi in Odogbolu received the news with excitement, celebrating the outcome with songs, dancing, and jubilation over what he described as a victory for progressive politics and grassroots leadership.
Daytayo stated that Yayi’s leadership qualities, political experience, and commitment to the welfare of the people endeared him to party faithful across the state, adding that his emergence signals a brighter future for Ogun State.
The APC chieftain also commended party leaders and members for ensuring a peaceful and transparent primary election process, describing the exercise as historic and commendable.
He reaffirmed his loyalty and commitment to the YAYI 2027 project, assuring that APC members and supporters in Odogbolu would continue to mobilise massive support for the party ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
Daytayo expressed confidence that Senator Adeola would sustain the developmental strides of the current APC administration and deliver impactful governance to the people of Ogun State.
