...Lauds President Tinubu's Women’s Economic Programme
This was disclosed by the Director General, EOS Campaign, Alhaji Sabur Adebayo, who confirmed that the event will hold in Abeokuta.
According to him, the empowerment programme will begin at 9:00 a.m. at Comprehensive Academy, Ayetoro Road, beside Arolat Filling Station, Abeokuta.
Adebayo explained that the event is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen grassroots engagement and support women across Ogun Central.
He noted that the initiative reflects Soyoola’s commitment to inclusive development and community-based empowerment.
“This programme is designed to empower women and further deepen our grassroots structure across the senatorial district,” Adebayo said.
“We believe women play a critical role in community and national development, and this initiative is a demonstration of our commitment to their growth and prosperity.”
He added that the inauguration of EOS coordinators from the 74 wards of Ogun Central Senatorial District will take place by 12 noon at the same venue.
Adebayo further emphasized that the dual event will bring together stakeholders, supporters and community leaders from across Ogun Central.
“The inauguration of ward coordinators will strengthen our reach and ensure effective engagement with the people at the grassroots level
"Accreditation will take place at the venue as only those who are invited will be allowed in,” he said.
In addition, Dr. Soyoola lauded
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for expanding the Nigeria for Women Programme, which is targeted to reach 25 million beneficiaries nationwide.
The programme’s pilot phase in six states had already reached over one million beneficiaries, with the scale-up introducing the Happy Woman App Platform, a secure digital interface that connects women to finance, skills, markets, essential services, and government support.
"The administration of President Bola Tinubu is committed to women’s economic inclusion and national development," he added.
