Ogun Councillor Victor Olusola Distributes Ramadan Packages to Ward 14 Residents in Abeokuta North

Residents of Ward 14 in Abeokuta North Local Government Area of Ogun State have benefited from Ramadan support packages distributed by the councillor representing the ward, Victor Olusola, as part of efforts to support Muslim faithful during the holy month.

The distribution exercise, which took place within the ward on Wednesday attracted party members, community leaders and residents who commended the councillor for what they described as a timely and thoughtful intervention aimed at easing the burden of fasting families.

Speaking during the exercise, Olusola said the initiative was meant to identify with Muslim faithful in the ward during Ramadan and to demonstrate that leadership should always be people-centred.

He noted that the welfare of residents remains a priority in his representation at the local government council.

One of the beneficiaries, Mr. Muraina Oni, who also serves as an executive member of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the ward, expressed appreciation to the councillor for remembering the people at a critical period.

“I really appreciate the councillor for remembering us at this time. This is part of the dividends of democracy that we expect from our leaders, and he has shown that he truly cares about the welfare of the people,” Oni said.
Another beneficiary, Ustaz Aderibigbe, also praised the councillor for the gesture, noting that the intervention came shortly after an empowerment programme organised by the lawmaker for residents of the ward.

“You just did empowerment and now you are distributing Ramadan packages. This is beyond the capacity of a councillor; you are a councillor that is behaving like a chairman,” he said while offering prayers for the councillor.
