Alhaji Monsuru made the call over the weekend while reflecting on the importance of the final days of Ramadan, often referred to as the period of the “Night of Majesty,” urging believers to seek divine mercy, forgiveness and blessings through increased prayers and good deeds.
He noted that the last ten days of Ramadan present a rare opportunity for Muslims to draw closer to God and seek spiritual renewal, stressing that the period is widely believed to contain Laylatul Qadr, a night described in the Holy Qur’an as better than a thousand months.
According to the business Mogul, Muslims should take advantage of the sacred period to pray for peace, unity and progress in Nigeria, as well as for leaders at all levels to be guided in the task of nation building.
“Ramadan is not only a time for fasting, but a time for deep reflection, charity, and devotion. The last ten days are the most important period of the holy month, and Muslims must dedicate themselves to prayers and supplications,” he said.
Alhaji Monsuru also encouraged faithful to extend kindness and support to the less privileged in society, noting that acts of charity and compassion remain central teachings of Islam, especially during the holy month.
“The essence of Ramadan goes beyond abstaining from food and drink; it is about self-discipline, compassion, and helping those in need. As we approach the last ten days, we must remember the poor and vulnerable in our communities,” he added.
He further urged Nigerians, irrespective of religious affiliations, to embrace tolerance, peaceful coexistence and mutual respect, emphasizing that national development can only thrive in an atmosphere of unity and harmony.
The Dimofeshy Multi-Investment CEO expressed hope that the prayers offered during the sacred nights would bring divine intervention to the country’s challenges and usher in a period of peace and prosperity.
“As we observe these sacred nights, I encourage Muslims to pray for our nation, our leaders, and our communities. With sincere prayers and faith in God, we believe Nigeria will overcome its challenges and move towards greater progress,” Monsuru stated.
He also wished Muslim faithful a rewarding end to the Ramadan fast and prayed that Allah accepts their sacrifices, supplications and acts of worship during the holy month.
