The Olu of Ibogun Balogun, Oba (Dr.) Adesina Fakayode Faluade Anikinnikun, has joined prominent Nigerians and citizens in celebrating the 50th anniversary of the creation of Ogun State, describing the milestone as a testament to the state’s resilience, progress, and enduring legacy.
This was disclosed in a statement released to commemorate the Golden Jubilee, the monarch commended the people of Ogun State for their industrious spirit, unity, and unwavering commitment to development, emphasizing that the state’s reputation as the Gateway State remains rooted in the hard work and creativity of its citizens.
The royal father also praised the leadership of Governor Dapo Abiodun, acknowledging the administration’s efforts in infrastructure development, economic empowerment, education, and youth advancement, which he said are positioning Ogun State as a leading hub for investment and innovation.
He urged residents to use the Golden Jubilee celebration as a moment of reflection and renewed commitment to peace, cooperation, and sustainable development, stressing that collective responsibility is key to securing a brighter future for the next generation.
Oba Faluade called on traditional rulers, community leaders, and stakeholders to continue supporting government initiatives and grassroots development, adding that traditional institutions remain critical partners in promoting stability and cultural preservation.
As Ogun State marks its 50 years of existence, the Olu of Ibogun Balogun prayed for continued progress, prosperity, and unity, expressing confidence that the state will achieve even greater milestones in the years ahead.
