This momentous event was not only serves as a platform for honoring the achievements and progress accomplished by the local government administration over the past half-century but also brings together notable figures from various sectors, in politics, business, education, and arts. Their collective presence underscores the importance of unity and collaboration in fostering community development, while also providing an opportunity for networking and sharing insights that can influence future initiatives within the local government area, as the celebration was filled with reflections on the past, discussions of present challenges, and aspirations for a prosperous future for Obafemi Owode Local Government.
Amb. Ogunsola in his speech,commended the efforts of the past leaders that had channeled the good paths of progress in writing the names of Obafemi Owode Local Government in the book achievers among other sisters councils in the state.
He acknowledged the significant roles played by the past local government chairmen, as he commended the leadership of His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun, MFR,CON for his inclusive system of government,which has earned the state a leading position as a gateway state in Nigeria.
Similarly, Amb. Ogunsola, FCPA highlighted some of his strides which has elevated Obafemi Owode Local Government, as recently, he was officially invited to the United States of America by the Honourable Mayor of Dover, Delaware, where he addressed members of the City council and formalized a strategic Agricultural Partnership, including the allocation of land for Agricultural expansion, research, youth agro-entrepreneurship and cultural cooperation which will soon yield result.
In the same vein, He led a powerful delegation to South Africa, where he entered an advanced partnership discussion with Izindonga Group and Maya Foods, aimed at establishing a fully integrated poultry value chain in Obafemi Owode Local Government to boost food security in Ogun State and Nigeria by extension.
Different empowerment materials and award of cash prices were given to winners at the occasion, while Chairman further
assured the people of Obafemi Owode Local Government his plan to embark on construction of road, rehabilitation of Schools, grading of roads and other infrastructural development, as he distributed some materials to empowered party faithful across wards of the council area.
