In a congratulatory statement made available to journalists in Abeokuta, the Special Assistant to the Governor on Inter-Ethnic Affairs, Hon. Monday Chukwuji, praised the leadership of past and present administrations for transforming Ogun State over the decades.
Hon. Chukwuji, speaking on behalf of the Igbo community, described the Golden Jubilee as a significant milestone that reflects Ogun State’s resilience, progress, and unity across ethnic and cultural lines.
“On behalf of all the Igbos in Ogun State, I want to congratulate our amiable Governor, Prince Dr. Dapo Abiodun, and the good people of Ogun State on the 50 years anniversary of the creation of the State,” the statement read.
He further reaffirmed the Igbo community’s commitment to the development of Ogun State, noting their readiness to support policies and initiatives that foster peace, cultural preservation, and sustainable growth. “We reaffirm our commitment to supporting initiatives that promote unity, preserve cultural heritage, and advance inclusive and sustainable development in Ogun State,” he stated.
Hon. Chukwuji also offered prayers and goodwill for the future of the state, expressing optimism about continued progress.
“We hereby pray that the next phase of Ogun State’s journey will bring greater prosperity, harmony, and enduring progress for all citizens,”.
