Hon. Umar made the call during a political engagement visit to Inisa, in Odo Otin Local Government Area, where he met with leaders and members of the Hausa community to discuss the importance of their participation in the electoral process.
Speaking during the meeting, Umar urged the community to come out en masse to exercise their civic responsibility, describing AMBO as the best candidate capable of delivering quality governance and sustainable development to the people of Osun State.
“I appealed to the Hausa community to fully support our APC governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, because he represents progress and continuity,” he said.
As part of the outreach, Hon. Umar also paid a courtesy visit to the Seriki of the Hausa community in Odo Otin Local Government, Malam Rabiu Yahya, where he further explained the objectives of the APC campaign and solicited traditional support for the party’s candidate.
During the visit, Malam Rabiu Yahya offered prayers for peace, unity, and success in the election, while urging political leaders not to neglect the Arewa community.
“Do not forget the Arewa community,” the Seriki advised, while pledging goodwill toward the campaign.
The traditional leader also revealed that members of the Hausa community in the local government are prepared for the election.
“All Hausa community members here have their voter cards, and those who didn’t before have now collected theirs,” he confirmed.
Hon. Umar further extended his campaign outreach to Iragbiji, where he visited Alhaja Falilat Ero Arike in her country home. According to him, she warmly received the delegation and expressed happiness over the visit.
“We preached AMBO to her, and she prayed for us. She was very happy and supportive,” Umar noted.
The outreach tour was attended by several APC stakeholders and Hausa community leaders, including Malam Garba Gambo, Chairman of the Hausa Community APC; Malam Hussaini Yaro, State Youth Leader; Malam Ibrahim, Malam Abba, Malam Tahir, Malam Sulaiman Bala, Malam Musa, and other party supporters.
Hon. Umar reaffirmed the APC’s commitment to inclusivity and political participation for non-indigene communities, stating that their votes and voices remain crucial in shaping the future leadership of Osun State.
