The order came following the complaint of the community Development Association on the incessant pollution of the neighborhood, inhaling of offensive odor by the residents and spillage of waste digester of the company, which they have repeatedly brought to the notice of the company's owner but no positive result.
Amb. Ogunsola, FCPA who was represented by Vice Chairman Hon. Abiodun Sobunkonla and the Secretary to Local Government, Hon. Kayode Dipeolu stressed that a company can not operate a large livestock farm without,first considering the environmental hazard particularly to the immediate community, while he assured the CDA of the proper handling of the matter, as the government can not afford to toy with the good health of her people under any guise.
He therefore pleaded with the CDA to allow government to take up the matter, as the government will be fair to all concerned but will not tolerate indolence and neglect of Public-Private-Community Partnership.
Emphasizing the level of indolence of the company's owner, Comrade Bakare Ogunyemi, Chairman, Moloko-Asipa Community Development Association condemned the nonchalant behaviour of the company's owner, while exonerating the Manager, Mr. Benjamin Awoleye for he is not in full capacity,but can only act on the instruction of his boss.
The government thereby summoned all stakeholders within the community and the TOSAM Farm Company to the Obafemi Owode Local Government Secretariat on Tuesday 6th February,2026 for official meeting.
