The declaration was made on Thursday in Osogbo by the former Senior Special Assistant on Non-Indigenes and Coordinator of the Arewa Community in Osun State, Alhaji Umar Mohammad, during an interview with newsmen.
Alhaji Umar described Oyebamiji as the most credible candidate in the race, noting that he possesses the experience, capacity, and inclusive leadership style required to move Osun State to a higher level of development.
“Our APC governorship candidate is the right person to take Osun State to the next level. He understands governance and has always demonstrated commitment to unity and progress,” Umar said.
He recalled that the APC-led government in the state had given the Arewa community a sense of belonging by appointing a Hausa indigene as Senior Special Assistant, a move he said strengthened trust and cooperation between the government and non-indigenes.
“The APC government elevated a Hausa man to the position of Senior Special Assistant, and that alone shows that the party carries the Arewa people along and believes in inclusiveness,” he stated.
Umar further explained that during campaign engagements across the state, members of the Arewa community have openly expressed their loyalty to the APC and its candidate.
“While campaigning, our people gave us firm assurance that they do not have any other candidate apart from the APC governorship candidate,” he said.
According to him, the Arewa community appreciates the peaceful coexistence and opportunities they have enjoyed under APC administrations, adding that continuity would guarantee more progress for all residents of the state.
He therefore urged members of the Arewa community to participate actively in the election process by turning out in large numbers on election day.
“I am calling on the entire Arewa community to come out en masse and vote Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji as the next Governor of Osun State,” Umar appealed.
He expressed confidence that the overwhelming support from the Arewa community would contribute significantly to the victory of the APC in the forthcoming governorship election.
