This was disclosed in a statement issued by the Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Tpl. Olatunji Odunlami on Friday.
Odunlami said 50% rebates are given on penal fees which hitherto was x2 the planing permit fee for commercial, industrial and other developments and x1 for residential developments.
The Commissioner explained that the amnesty period will run from November 1, 2025, to January 31, 2026, offering property owners a three-month window to regularize their building approvals at reduced rates.
He noted that the gesture reflects Governor Abiodun’s commitment to promoting inclusive governance and easing the burden on citizens, particularly as an end-of-the-year concession.
The Commissioner urged affected individuals and corporate organizations to take advantage of the opportunity by visiting the Ogun State Planning and Development Permit Authority headquarters or any of the zonal planning offices for further information and guidance.
