CCC worldwide, eminent personalities, children, grand children bid Pa Ajani Oyedeji farewell

The ancient city of Abeokuta, Ogun State, was agog over the weekend as the remains of Most Superior Evangelist Simeon Ajani Oyedeji were committed to mother earth at his Saraki residence, amidst an atmosphere of celebration, music, and fond memories of a life well spent.

Pa Oyedeji, a devoted servant of God and a respected leader within the Celestial Church of Christ (CCC), passed on at the age of 91. 

His final journey began on Friday with a Christian wake-keeping and night of tributes, where family members, friends, and church leaders from across the world gathered to celebrate his impactful life.

Earlier that day, a lying-in-state was held at the CCC Parish, Ibara, before the remains were conveyed in a white motorcade to his residence, accompanied by family members and well-wishers.

Speaking at the burial service,
Asst Most Superintendent Evang. Yemi Ayodele of CCC Army Barracks, Mokola , Ibadan, Oyo State, in his sermon, advised people to repent from their evil ways, urging them to turn a new leaf when they are still alive.

He noted that every deeds of human beings on earth will be accounted for on the judgement day in heaven, saying that God is writing down deeds of human beings on a daily basis.


The clergyman who spoke from the of Revelation chapter 14, said the deceased has finished his race on planet earth and what next is judgement.

He described the deceased a good man full of service to God and human kind.

His words" let me tell you, Most Superior Evangelist Simeon Ajani Oyedeji has finished his work on earth.Baba has finished his work on the earth, what will people say about you when you died".

He said " God is written your deeds down, either good or bad. You can still correct all your bad deeds now. God can still forgive you.You are sand and you will return as sand. Repent from your bad deeds and embrace Christ like life. Christ can still save you".

All those who paid tributes to Pa Oyedeji, described him as an epitome of love and peace.

They said the CCC worldwide and family have lost a rear gem.

The first son, Oyesunmade Oyedeji described his late father as a source of inspiration for him and he left legacy of love and peace.

He said "He is my source of inspiration. He made me to understand life. He has left legacy of love , legacy of generosity. He doesn't discriminate. He touched lives".


To the Head of National news, Silver bird Television and daughter, Seun ‘Jewel’ Oyedeji, her father was a perfect gentleman and he radiates love.
According to her, "I will miss everything about him. He was very lovely , very accommodating, very kind, very gentle manly. He loved God alot. He was a cool 'guy '. He was so cool and steezy, he smells good and very charismatic". 

"I feel like the celestial church, the world has lost a gem. He spoke quietly, very classic guy. I can't believe we are putting that kind of person inside the soil. We are just thankful for his life. We are not mourning, we are celebrating a very respectful man. More than anything, he radiates love", she stated. 


Also speaking, one of his son, Segun Oyedeji, described his late father as a perfect human being, worthy of emulation.


He said "He is my Dad. When I was down spiritually, financially and I called baba, he will say 'Bishop' do this, do that, do this. My daddy was a perfect being, an epitome of father to the core". 


Segun said "He loved everyone of us. He cherished every one of us. He made sure that everyone of us know God because we are born at the mission house. He is a vacuum that can never be filled. I will forever miss my father". 


According to Temitayo Samson Oyedeji, the last born of the late Pa Oyedeji, his father was everything to him.

He said in all circumstances, his father always showed love, saying that his humility was second to none.

He said "I lived with him most, he gave me old love. I spent most of my life with him. I couldn't leave him even when I got married not because I didn't have the money to rent apartment but just to reciprocate the love he showed me". 


"I learnt a lot through him. I love his humility, love and peace with everyone in regardless of negative energy towards him. Baba is someone that has large heart, he never for once gets angry with anyone. He is always at peace even if you wrong him. I will miss him so much", he stated. 


At the reception held at Ok Centre, Ibara GRA, Abeokuta, eminent personalities, media executives, businessmen, Captain of industries, family and friends gathered to celebrate the life of Pa Oyedeji.


The popular juju artiste, Mega 99 and his band was on ground to entertain the guests who graced the colourful reception.
